April 1st, 2013 – Everett, WA: Paintball Innovations has developed a kit to allow most .68 caliber markers to use .50 caliber paintballs with a simple change of the bolt system; it is the Bolt/Barrel Combination System or BBCS for short. This product will help field owners to grow and expand their potential customer base by being able to offer a reliable and affordable solution to the lack of .50 caliber options from larger manufactures.

The BBCS has a one-of-a-kind bolt design, which causes the paintball to enter the center of the bolt and is then expelled through the extended end, which acts as the barrel portion. We refer to it as Thru Bolt Technology. It incorporates using the stock .68 caliber barrel as a guide; therefore no replacement barrel is required.

With the Thru Bolt Technology, we do not recommend using a force feed loader system as this may increase the chance of “chopping” paintballs in the breech area.

Our system works well with basic gravity feed and agitated loaders. We recommend using the rounded bottom style gravity feed loader such as the Allen Paintball Sight Feeder Loader. Their standard .68 caliber 50 round loader will hold 125-140 .50 caliber paintballs. Another option is the standard Tippmann supplied 200 round .68 gravity feed loader. This combination will hold close to 5oo .50 caliber paintball!
